[Unfortunately there was a bit of this at the very beginning that I can't remember, which had to do with how I got to where I was towards the end with being a wizard and such. I think it was basically a process of discovery. Somehow I knew what the path was for becoming a wizard, and what I'd be able to do down the road, so I was able to practice these things until I was semi-proficient.]
One of the first things that I remember clearly is going out into a yard behind a house somewhat like Grandmamma and Granddaddy B's old house, and there was practically a forest back there. There was some sort of gazebo, tent, or shed/pavilion back there, and there were a couple of black kids hanging out in or around it.
I was told them that I was a wizard, and I was going to show them some magic. I then took something (I'm not sure what it was at first, although it may have been like a marble or a grape, or perhaps one of the Din Pearls from Zelda: Windwaker) and made it fly out of my hand, and it hit the ground. As it hit the ground, I made it bounce up again, over and over, slightly higher each time. It kept getting a bit bigger until it was the size of a medium sized squash or gourd. I was trying to make it burst into flame. I could get it to shake and begin to smoke a bit, but I couldn't get it to burst into flame at all. I was a bit disappointed.
Then there was someone else that was walking up from our left. I though this would be a good
opportunity to try something else. I managed to make the gourd manifest as a ghost of a black girl. The ghost approached the person/people that were walking up to us, and she talked to them like she was interested in one of the boys. The boys just looked at her like "You're nuts!" and
kept going. These kids (and the ghost) were only somewhere between 8 and 10 years old. I wound up going back inside, but I was now inside of Grandmamma M's house (after the point which mom owned it).
It was night time/early morning, and mom and I decided that we needed to leave. Not just temporarily, but permanently. We needed to grab just a few things that we could, and go without a trace. I went into the bathroom to perfect a spell that I was working on that would help us in our moving. There was definitely something to do here with the Din Pearls from Zelda:Windwaker, but I don't remember what it was. Mom was in the kitchen, dressed like she was getting ready to go to work.
I think that mom said she was going to do something with the toaster-oven or microwave or something, and I asked her not to. Whatever it was, it was sitting in the middle of the kitchen table, and she did it anyway. It wound up exploding and killing her, although her spirit remained in her body and she didn't feel the pain of what had just happened. I went into the kitchen, but I didn't want to look at her. She kept asking me to, and I kept telling her no. Finally I slipped a glance at her, and the left half of her face was blown off, and her hair was all singed and matted over to her right side. She was still talking about wanting to leave, but I wasn't so sure if it was a good idea for her to leave with me anymore considering that now she was technically dead.
The next thing I know, I'm back in my apartment in Texas with Em, although it's kind of like work. I had evidently just woken up! There are a bunch of us in the bedroom/bathroom area, and we're getting ready to go home. I pull up one of the computers and try to write down the dream I just had (about the Wizard stuff) and send at least a reminder to myself via email, but the computer tells me that the email box is full or damaged, and I can't send. I was a bit bummed, but I figured I could remember it anyway.
