I was in the outskirts of some city, something like Savannah, GA or Dallas, TX, and there was a dormitory for the local college close by. Emily (wife) and I went in, although I didn't really know where we were going. Somehow we were getting lead, either by a voice or by a note or something, that was telling us where to go. We went in and went up these stairs. It was a very industrial looking stairwell, with metal grating and plain white cinder block walls. We went up a couple of stories, and then we were directed to go to the service elevator.
We came out of the stairwell, went a little way down the hall, and turned to our right. On the right was the service elevator. We got in, and the door closed. We didn't have to hit a button or anything to make it start going. It just went. The elevator was huge. The door on it was about 8 feet wide, and the elevator itself was the size of a large living room or bedroom, although it was very short. I think it was only 7 feet tall, because I almost felt like I was going to keep bumping my head on the ceiling.
When we got out, we were presented with the "Body Elevator". We were out in this HUGE open area many stories up, and the Body Elevator was just a small stainless steel platform that was about 4 feet wide and 5 feet long. I was supposed to lay down on it and grab onto the sides while it went along it's track. I could see the narrow steel track out before me, and it wound around like a roller coaster. Somehow Em kind of melded with me and we became one for the ride.
I
held on tight, and it took off like crazy. It jumped up and down along the track, twisting this way and that, flying up and down hills, just like a roller coaster, minus the safety of being held in tight. I think I wound up kind of phasing out during this because it scared me so badly.
The next thing I knew, we were walking through a door and into a dorm/apartment. It was actually a very nice apartment, and we seemed to be about 30 or so stories up. We were WAY up, but we also were not on the top floor. I could "feel" other apartments above this one. The way that the apartment was situated, the elevator shaft was kind of in the middle of the apartment. The door opened to the back of the apartment away from the windows.
Em and I walked around to the living room area, and we were greeted by Melanie (from school). She was happy to see us both, and I introduced Em to her. She invited us in to visit for a bit. I found out shortly that Melvin (from school) was also living there. I was a bit surprised, but I realized that they were a couple, and they were dating or something. She was talking about some of the stuff that Melvin was up to. She told me that he was currently in school for physics. I thought that was really cool, and I told her that I was also interested in going to school for it, as well as mathematics. I think that Melvin showed up shortly and spoke about it some, and he showed me a computer program to try out.
It was basically a program to show me how well I might do at math and physics combined. I'm not sure what I was doing to try to control it, but there were two sections on the screen. One on the left was labeled Physics, and the other side was Mathematics. I was somehow was controlling a rectangle on the screen that would encompass either physics, math, or parts of both. I think
that my goal was to get it to completely engulf both, but I was having a lot of trouble doing it. I may have given up on the program at some point, thinking that I didn't need a program to tell me which I could or couldn't do.
Then I was talking to Melanie again, and we were in her kitchen. She was voicing something about being upset at Melvin because he wouldn't rewind his video tapes when he was done with them, and this had something to do with a girl that Melvin sleeps with. I got a bit confused, and I asked if her (Melanie) and Melvin were married or dating, and she said yes. I said that I didn't understand why Melvin was sleeping with someone else, then, and she started to make it sound
like this other girl (who's name also began with 'M') lived there in the apartment with them. I was really starting to get confused, especially when she mentioned something about upgrading the girl's software. I then realized something, and I asked Melanie if this girl was a robot. She said that she was, and that Melvin had built her, and needed to upgrade her software.
After this, Em and I decided to go. As we were about to go, we looked out the window over the local town scenery. Melanie made a remark that we were on Mars. I thought she was being weird, and I didn't believe her. The next thing I know, Em and I are outside the bottom of the building, and walking out towards the road across the front lawn of the dorm. As we got to the northeast corner of the yard, we turned around, and down where the "east" would be, there
was an old school bus. It was almost like it was supposed to be a historical landmark. It didn't have any wheels on it, and it was partially buried in the ground so that the door to it was right at
ground level instead of having to step up to get into it.
We both got on the bus, and the next thing I know, we are both back in time. It turns out that Em wanted to talk to a younger version of me, when I was about three years old or so. We found me sitting in the passenger side of a pickup truck in Grandmamma's back yard, right behind the
shed next to the house. I was kind of tied into place by something, although I don't remember what. Mike (former step-father) had done it because I had made him mad, and he wanted me to stay there while he went to go get something so that I could fix whatever I had screwed up.
Em went up to me and started talking to me. I kind of looked at her like I was annoyed. Somehow I knew that my younger self could not see me standing there with Em, but I knew that he could sense me. He even looked right at me for a moment while Em was trying to talk to him, but he couldn't really see me. He just knew that there was SOMETHING there.
