School Daze

It started out that I was in a new city (I'm thinking it was Savannah, although I'm not so sure) and for some reason, because of my age, I had to go to high school. Before I ever made it to the school, I met up with John (a curly headed headbanger from high school) and he was picking on me (just as he had done somewhat in middle school and high school). I somehow got away from him and finally made it to school. (although, now that I think of it, it was night time)

I was coming in the back way, which looked a lot like the doors that headed out to the art room at For Defiance High School. When I walked in, there were automatic doors and escalators around, and I had my schedule in my hand, but I didn't have any idea where to go. I realized that I was in Johnson High School (here in Savannah, even though I've never been there in waking life) and that I needed to find Natalie (girl from Papa John's) to have to to show me where the classes were.

I remember looking down at my yellowish card several times, and even though I knew what it said in the dream, I cannot remember now what it said. I knew that Natalie was somewhere one the top floor of the school, and so I set out to find her. After going up several flights of stairs and passing several people I knew from high school (Anne and several others that I knew from seeing at lunch) I finally made it to the top.

The set up for the stairs was strange. It was like there were at least 5 or 6 stories, but there was this huge open space around which the stairs wound, so if you were to go to the balcony and look over, there was a space the size of my apartment that was 6 stories deep. Anyway, when I got to the top, I found Stephanie (a girl from school) and tried to find out where my classes were. (somehow my goal went from finding Natalie to finding Stephanie)

I remember thinking that they'd better give us forever to get from class to class because of the sheer size of the school. By this time it was time for lunch, and so I started heading back downstairs to the cafeteria which was in the basement. I was getting lost on the way down because the stairways were now placed in some odd areas.

At one point I was in the boys bathroom, and I passed by John (a guy from Papa John's). I asked him where the stairs were to go downstairs, and he told me that they were "right over there on the right" and pointed out my way. I went through this little hallway and at the end were two flights of stairs. One going up (on the left) and one going down (on the right) so I guess I ended up taking the ones going down and I ended up in the cafeteria finally.

I saw that they were serving the same old "school pizza" that we had nearly every day in school, so I got in that line, thinking that I'd go sit with Stephanie and the group. While I was in line, John showed up again and was picking on me. I somehow lost my place in line because of this, but he finally left and so I got back in line. At this point, the pizza was all gone, and so all that were left were cheeseburgers. I was getting ready to get one of those when I saw that there WAS some pizza left, so I went and got that.

I then went and looked for my place to sit, and I think John came and was picking on me again. (now that I think of it, it was daylight in the cafeteria) I think that I finally found the people I knew and sat down to eat.

The next thing I know was that I was back in the hallway again, looking for my class, and I realized that I had already graduated from high school, so no matter what the age requirements were for going to school, I still didn't have to go because I had already finished it. I was very happy for this, and so I think it was right after this that the dream ended.
