Metallic Green Paint

I think I started out at work (Papa John's). I was there helping everyone get ready for a busy Friday night. We were slapping out dough, and I remember something about Larry (from work) telling me that he didn't feel well. From the way we were situated, he was over where we normally keep the thin crusts, and there was some sort of table and wall (like the red one behind the thin crusts) that he was behind, and I was out on the main floor area at one of the big tables.

I think I was wanting to let him go since he wasn't feeling well, but I was also worried about getting slammed that night and not having enough people there to help. After slapping dough for the pizzas for a little bit, I left and went home for some reason. I think it was to get ready for work that night. (this was happening earlier on in the day)

At one point I had to go back outside to do something with my car, although, I think that I had borrowed Adam's (tall skinny guy from work) car to drive home for some reason. (and even though he drives a little white car similar to my Corolla, in the dream it looked like Mike's mom's car... like a big dark blue Caprice or Impala)

When I got out to where I had parked on the roof (it was like the apartment also doubled as a parking garage, and that I could park up on the roof), I saw that there was this dark green metallic paint that was still wet that was all over the outside and inside of his car. I looked around at the whole thing, even down under the front bumper at the engine, and it was everywhere. Someone had done this as a prank while I was inside. I then found my car, and found that they had done the same to it as well, although, mine was only partially done because they had evidently run out of the paint.

In looking at the cars, had gotten some of the paint on me and on my clothes, and so I went back inside to wash it off. I remember that the inside of the apartment was only as wide as my current bedroom (at the Commons in Savannah), but there were some short dividing walls that divided the place at various intervals the farther back you went. The front of the apartment was very open and well lit, but I'm not sure if it was because the front of the apartment WAS open, or of there was just a lot of glass in that front wall that let in a lot of light. So I finally got to the bedroom, which reminded me a lot of the room at the end of the hall in Aunt Irene's house on Clark Street. I also remember a glimpse of my old bedroom from home. (the one downstairs that Nick (step-brother) eventually got)

Anyway, after realizing that I couldn't get any of this paint out, I became very angry and got into my car and sat in the painted seat, and drove back to Papa John's. I think I had to park in a parking garage and then walk down and across a street, and then around to the opposite side of the block to get there.

When I finally got there, I started yelling at Mike (the store manager) and asking him if he "was the fucking moron that did this", and he told me he didn't do it, but Bozo did. (Bozo was a short blond guy that was very redneck-ish) So then I yelled the same at Bozo even though I knew that asking him like that would make him mad and start to fight. He yelled back that he did, and then I started yelling at Mike again because I knew that he was in on it and he didn't do anything to stop it.

So after being pissed around there for a little while, and someone mentioning the green paint that I had on my clothes and on the side of my head and face, I started to leave the store with Adam. He was also pissed about something (although I don't think it was about his car that I had borrowed) and he told me something like I had "better not be expecting any sex". I looked at him funny and snapped back that I wasn't. We then got into his car (the white one that he normally drives). I sat in the back behind him, and as we were riding to wherever we were going, his cellphone rang, and he answered it and then handed it to me. Somehow I knew that it was the company that made the green metallic paint that was all over everything, and that they were going to tell me how to get it off of the stuff. I think they started to tell me, and then Adam had to stop and get out of the car for some reason, and so this somehow interrupted the conversation.

As I was sitting there in the car, I noticed that it was starting to get dark out. He was off to the right side of the road doing something, although I'm not sure what, and I happened to glance into the rear view mirror. I saw a car a approaching from behind, and I knew that it wasn't going to stop and it was going to hit the car with me in it. But instead of trying to get out or anything, I just sat there and watched it. Finally the thing hit the car in the rear, and I lurched forward. Adam saw it happen, and instead of being mad that someone hit his car (because he DID leave it sitting in the right lane of the road after all. He hadn't even pulled over to parallel park) he told me to get out and "let 'em know it", which I think meant to go off on them or something.

So I got out, and so they knew I was okay, but instead of saying anything to them, I walked up and stood next to Adam. Then I turned and looked at the back of the car, and I could see the big dent that was in the back of it from the car hitting it, although I didn't see the car that had hit it anywhere around. I saw people trying to drive around it, and then I saw a big truck that was some dark color, but I'm not sure what color it was. It came right up like the car had done and hit the back of Adam's car. I mean, it really pounded into it. It pushed it all the way down to the end of the street and then across the road that crossed at the end of the street (it was a T intersection) and over the side of the road, which was a steep bank. The guy turned left, I think, and then pulled off to the side of the road and got out.

Adam and I walked down there, and by the time we got there, several people had stopped to look off the side of the road to see what had happened. We looked over the edge of the road, and his car was sort of sitting in a tree, but at the same time it was on the side of the bank. We were trying to figure out how to get it out of there, and I think that we had come up with some sort of solution, but I don't remember exactly what it was.

Then all of a sudden I was walking back to the parking garage, and the place where I had driven in a while back was now blocked off. They were letting people out, but no one was allowed to drive in. The gate and stuff had been torn down some how, and there were some police around directing traffic, as well as the yellow police lines and orange cones. One of the police was saying what had happened (although I'm not sure if he was talking to me or to someone else and I was just overhearing). It had to do with a wreck that was just up the street at the next intersection, and it had something to do with the guys first gear, but I don't know how that caused the wreck. The wreck that had caused it was separate from Adam's wrecks. I think I then started to walk up to my car, but it was about there that the dream ended.
