Key in the Palm of Your Hand

I had been in some city and gone through some caves to get to various parts of that city. Some of the caves were short and narrow, just like a regular hallway that went either steeply up or down, and others were like huge cavern rooms that had many hallways branching out of it and were full of stalactites on the ceiling and such.

At one point, I had made it to the "far" side of the city, and Nick (step-brother), his girlfriend (someone I didn't know), and some others were with me. I remember seeing us all out on a boat dock on a small pond or a river perhaps, and I knew this thing about "keying in" words on the palms of my hands to give me certain abilities. There was one that allowed us to float or almost kind of fly, and there was another that allowed us to be invisible. I know that to become invisible, I had to "key in" the word "deer". To key something in, what I had to do was have my palms facing each other, and then try to think of how I would type it on a computer keyboard, using my palms as the keys. So, to key in "deer", I used my right index finger and tapped it on my left palm for the "d", and then tap twice with my right middle finger on my left palm for the "ee" and then my left index finger on my right palm for the "r". (and I know this isn't how I use the letters on the keyboard, but somehow it was how it worked in the dream) After I completed this sequence, I was invisible. I can't remember, though, how long I would stay invisible. I think it may have been just until I decided that I wanted to be seen again.

Anyway, at this point on the dock, I remembered seeing Amanda (a girl from school) use the "fly" key to make it so that she could just walk right off the end of the dock and not fall in the water. She was able to just keep walking, or even perform some action close to ice skating along the level of the dock.

Then a little bit later, I was just with Nick and his girlfriend, and we were in some sort of old building that was being used as a hardware store. They were wanting to go home, but they felt lost and didn't know how to get there. I knew the way through the caves, but for some reason I didn't want them to know about the caves, and so I decided to go back through them to get back home, and then find another way to them that I could bring them home by. So I told them to wait there, and I'd find a way back home. They agreed, and so I left the building and went down the street and behind this tall building that had a street and an alley way running behind it. It seems to me that there was also some sort of roof over this part, and as I went around the right side of the building to get behind it, off to my right (across this alley from it) was the huge entrance to the cave. I went in there, and I used my invisible and fly keys to be able to zoom through there to get back home.

The next thing that I remember was that there was a group of us again that were outside of a doorway that felt like it was in a building very similar to Stewart Middle School. I think it was supposed to be Kate's (from Canada) apartment or something, but we couldn't get in because someone that was standing outside didn't think we should go in because none of us were Kate.

So I somehow ended up typing in some key that allowed me to look like Kate, and we were able to get in. Then as soon as we got in there, it seemed that everyone thought that I really WAS her, and so I had to make myself invisible so that they couldn't see me and they started to get somewhat upset. I think it wasn't long after that when the real Kate did show up, and I don't remember her being very happy, or people being happy with her, either.
