I was at Pleasant Valley Church, I think, and there was some sort of party or gathering going on. There was a meal, or at least some snacky eating, and so I was wanting to get some. At one point, I was introduced to this girl that reminds me a lot of the girl in "Fly Away Home" (Anna Paquin). In my dream I liked her a lot, and I didn't want to do anything to disgust her or turn her away in any way. Her family was very rich, and she knew all this etiquette stuff, and I didn't. I was worried about eating some of this stuff the wrong way and looking "uncivilized" to her.
This meal or whatever started off with fruit, and there was a bunch of it on this round table, a lot like our real one in the dining room. She picked up a couple of pieces and put them on her plate, and then I did the same. I remember seeing a plum and thinking it would be too messy to eat in front of her. I also saw some blue pineapple chunks, so I used my fork and picked those up. I think I may have also picked up a tangerine or an orange, too. But that also could have been her that I saw pick that up. She picked up something that relieved me and made me think that I could possibly be myself during this time. (dunno what it was)
We sat down at a table that was just around the corner in this little area that was about the size of my room. There were other people there, and I think that her parents may have even popped in for a moment, but if they did, they weren't there for long. After much trial and tribulation, I think I finally found some way of eating that was acceptable, and I think that she even ended up liking me, too.
