The Eiffel Tower Swing

I was at this place that was supposed to be King's Dominion, but I'm not 100% sure about that. There was this new ride there, and it had these levers at the bottom (a lot like what you see in cartoons that come out of the floor and are supposed to trigger stuff) that made the thing work. I think that Matthew (brother) was with me, and there was something about I was supposed to be running this ride, or someone at least wanted me to try to, but I didn't want to.

Then I saw the thing starting to run, and it looked a lot like a swing set, except it was huge, like the Eiffel Tower at King's Dominion, and the swings went all the way around. The thing was kind of sitting out in the middle of nowhere, and I didn't see any other rides around. Everything was barren, and it was like we were in the middle of a sunset because everything had this kind of dark red glow (like a sunset hitting it). I think I saw this thing from the side, so I could see the full circles these swings were making.

Then I saw that there was a second "swing" on the contraption, and it started going in the opposite direction of the first one.The first was going clockwise, and the second was going counterclockwise. Then it all of a sudden hit me that Matthew was on one of these things, but I don't remember if I was happy or if I was scared. Then I think that Matthew somehow got off, and then he ran the thing for a bit. I saw that the way it worked was not that you pushed a lever one way and it ran and then pushing it the other and it stopped. It was more like pumping. The harder and faster you pumped the lever, the faster that these things went around...
