I was on a large boat, kind of like a large-ish yacht. We were riding along through a large bay and the land was mostly off to my right. (Note: this is the same coastal city that I've dreamed about at least two other times: once where I blew up some building or went underwater trying to find or save something, and the other where it was all frozen over and people were doing some sort of tricks on the glaciers) We were traveling pretty quickly, and I could see the docks around us.
I knew that there was a sharp turn of some sort coming up soon, and just as I looked out of the boat, I saw that there were docks immediately in front of us. The boat operator did a quick maneuver, and we turned left quite easily. We didn't even get jostled around too bad. It was only about like making a quick turn in a car. We then make several other quick turns as we wound our way into our parking area. I was surprised to see how agile the boat was on top of the water, and how it seemed to handle so much like a car.
Finally we pulled up to our area, and we all got out. We were filtering through this large entry way into Kings Dominion. It was kind of like it was in a tent, and the walls and ceiling were all lit from the outside like canvas that was letting in a bit of light, but it wasn't very sunny out. As we were passing through this long tent (about 50 or 100 feet long?), we were passing all these games and quarter vending machines (like gumball machines in grocery stores). There were rows of them back to back.
We were making our way down an aisle in the middle of them, and the rows extended off in either direction (so they were perpendicular to the aisle) There were various workers in shorts, tee shirts, and aprons. The aprons held things like money for exchanges, and things like that, kind of like someone working at an arcade.
When I was about halfway through, I passed someone that looked familiar on my right. I looked again, and it was Brian (guy from school and church). I made an effort to turn as I was going by him, wave, nod, and say, "How's it goin', Brian?" He did a bit of a double take and looked at me. He smiled hesitantly, like he didn't really know who I was, but I looked familiar to him. He said something like, "Hey! Good. And you?"
And then it clicked. He recognized me. His face brightened a bit, but still had a concerned look to it. He said, "Hey, come over here, Jeremy, and let me get a better look at you." or something like that. I knew that he had noticed my huge weight gain since the last time I had seen him, and he was considering saying something about it. I didn't think that he would, and he didn't. Anyway, I didn't want to turn around and talk to him because that would mean messing up the flow of the line I was in, but I did anyway because I really didn't want to be rude to him.
I turned and went back, and got into the row he was in. He chit-chatted with me for a bit in and out of helping to lead people through the aisle. (I guess they were needed to help direct the people into the park) While I was talking to him, I saw another familiar face out of the people that were helping out. Brian called over Jamiee (blond girl from school, on cross country team), and she came up and talked to me briefly.
I could tell that she was having a little bit of trouble placing who I was, too, but I think it finally clicked. Then she had to leave and go to another area where she was needed. I ended my conversation with Brian, and I wished him well and told him that I'd see him later. I then continued on through the line, but the dream ended soon after this.
