The Traitor Green M&M

[To start, in this dream, there's a bit of uncertainty as to whether I was present with the characters of the dream (at least in the beginning), or if I was a formless entity watching everything, or if I was actually one of the characters (ie, if I was an M&M). There seems to be a different feel at different times.]

I started out, and I was at the tribal base of the yellow M&Ms. These M&Ms were like the animated ones that run around on the commercials. They were about knee high to me, and were mostly face, arms, and legs. They really were quite tribe like. I don't know how to describe it, but they weren't nation like. It wasn't teams. They were tribes. They were families, and each color was it's own tribe.

I started out in the yellow camp. They were in a fortress that was at the end of a kind of a valley. I don't think it was a true valley, but kind of like a valley between two forests. The trees kind of created walls that ran all the way down to the entrance of the fortress of the yellow tribe. Inside of the fortress where I started out, there were several canals. The whole floor of the place was made of stone, and it was surrounded by stone walls. The canals were all filled with running water, but they weren't too terribly deep. I think they were deep enough that I could stand in them and only have the water MAYBE waist high, but they were too deep for the M&Ms. They were laid out almost like a maze that was supposed to hinder travel around, but for me they were no problem because I could just step over them.

I was there with one of the yellow M&Ms, talking briefly with it, and somehow I saw it's color change from yellow to green. I realized that this one was a spy of some sort. I kind of have this feeling that it was spying for "good" reasons (to find a way to ease the tension between the tribes) rather than for "bad" reasons (to find a way to attack the other tribes) When I saw the color of this one change from yellow to green, so did some of the other yellow M&Ms. They realized that this one was a traitor, and they wound up making us leave. The way that we left was by going through the front gate, but somehow the front gate was up on the balcony area of Pleasant Valley Church. I think that came in on the back/far side of the balcony (farthest from the pulpit in the front), and so the area that was actually the balcony was what we entered in to.

The balcony area was where the red M&Ms had their fortress. They saw that we were from a different tribe, and so they, too, had us to leave and saw us as traitors. This time when we left, we left over the edge of the balcony, and down into the main area of the sanctuary below. Down in there is where the fortress of the green M&Ms were. It was similar to the one of the yellow tribe, having the canals of water and such. The green M&Ms were upset with us, too. Evidently this lone green M&M had decided to do this on his own rather than consult with the rest of his tribe, because he knew that to ask or suggest it, it would be refused. He felt that he really knew what he was doing, and that if he accomplished his task the way he wanted to, it would truly be helpful to all the tribes since they were warring with one another. I believe they also saw this one M&M as a traitor, and had us to leave.

When we left, we were in this room where it was still the sanctuary of the church, but it was now empty. There were some small and narrow walls up in different places to kind of create an illusion of a maze, but other than that, I could still see quite a bit of the far wall (the one behind the pulpit).

From here, I knew I was supposed to pick up the M&M and throw him to a specified spot on that far wall, approximately behind where the organist was supposed to sit. I picked him up and threw him, and in mid flight, it looked like everything was going to go okay, but all of a sudden he bounced off what seemed to be an invisible wall and flew off to the right. I couldn't figure out what was going on, and even though I wasn't supposed to, I walked down to the area where the organist was supposed to be.

Suddenly there were two other people there with me, and they were actually people. I know that one was a guy, but I'm not sure about the other. I think they probably both were, and in the dream I knew who they were, but in thinking about it now, I can't remember who they were. They were supposed to be close friends. By talking with them, we all somehow noticed that there were indeed invisible walls all around. I think they were partially visible from the back, and that's why we noticed them. Also, I think that when we were in front of them, because they weren't completely invisible from all sides, they rotated or something so that they matched our perspective so that we wouldn't see them. Knowing this, I thanked the friends and I went back towards the back of the sanctuary to the throwing position again, along with the green M&M.

I picked it up, and just before I threw it, I dodged my head and upper body around so that I could catch the edges of the invisible walls. The walls seemed to move and react to my eye positioning, but doing so took them a brief moment, so I could just make out where the edges of the walls were. Then, knowing where they were, I threw the M&M again, and I hit the spot/hole on the back wall that I needed to hit. Doing this was supposed to enable this whole vision that the green M&M had originally of peace among the tribes.
