I first remember going to the grocery store in Weyers Cave, and it was specifically for something dealing with Gremlins. I'm not sure what it was, but I ended up going way out into the parking lot (it had a big Wal-mart like parking lot) to a car that a girl was at. I think she may have been somewhat close to my age, but I'm not sure. I had parked close to the front of the store, but she was parked out farther in the parking lot.
I was running out there to warn her of the stuff of how to be sure to take care of a gremlin (such as no food after midnight, and keeping water away from them) but I was too late, and she had already fed it, I think (even though it wasn't after midnight, it still affected it) It was in her back seat on the drivers side, and for some reason, I thought that throwing water on it would be a good thing to get rid of it. I'm not sure why, though.
Then we ended up running inside the store and trying to shut it down. We were trying to lock the doors and keep people from coming in or going out because we didn't want the gremlins to come in after us. I think the thing of getting it wet and it having babies stuck in my head, because I was thinking that at first they'd be small like ping-pong balls, but they would grow very rapidly to their normal size.
I was trying to get us locked up so that they couldn't get in, but people kept wanting in and out of the store, and we couldn't keep the doors locked because of it. I was really getting worried about the gremlins coming in and eating us, and I kept trying to convince people that they'd do so if we didn't keep the doors locked and keep them out, but no one wanted to believe me. I couldn't figure out why people weren't worried at all about being eaten, and I tried to convince them via the argument that if they got into the store and locked in, we'd survive for days on all the food in there and the gremlins would never be able to make it through the glass and brick of the building, and eventually they'd either go away or die. Also, as an argument, I tried pointing out their teeth to people. I told them, "When the gremlins were small, their teeth were like this," and held up a hand, showing the tiny space between my index finger and thumb, "but when they're full grown it's more like this," and used entire fingers as teeth and made a chomping motion with them.
It didn't seem to scare anyone into locking up the store, and eventually the gremlins started showing up outside. I think that it had just rained or something, because I remember it being a little damp outside. I think I could see them outside heading our way, but no one was doing anything to try to stop them or prevent them from coming into the store. I woke up before they made it into the store.
