I was out in the corn field that is between my house (grandmamma's house) and 256. At first, only me and Sean (my cousin) were there. We were running around in a figure 8 pattern around to rows of corn that were only a few inches tall and about eight to ten feet in length. The rest of the field was barren.
We were racing or something, and after a little bit, I decided to have Bill (a scruffy guy from school) join us, and suddenly there he was running with us. We were looking for a game to play, so this is what we had decided to do.
The next thing I remember was that we were at the Harrisonburg mall and we were looking at computer games, trying to decide which one to get to entertain ourselves. I'm not sure if it was my decision, or a group decision, but we were looking for ANY game that had something to do with Atlantis. At the main table we were looking at, we weren't having much luck, so I went up to a booth out in front of Musicland.
As I was looking around, I asked the woman working there if she had any games about Atlantis. At first she said no, and then she thought for a moment and said yes... she pulled down this hat that was on a large rack behind her (which was full of hats) and turned it over. The game was up underneath. I asked her how much it was, and she told me 13.99. I said that would be good, so I gave her eleven dollars. (???)
As I was looking at it after I bought it, I decided that I didn't want the hat, so I asked her if I could give that back to her. She didn't seem very pleased about that at first, but she agreed and took the hat back, saying something about making up the price difference. I was going to give her more money for taking the hat, and she said "No, I'll pay for it" and she came around front to give me the money.
She pulled out a large wad of cash and handed most of it to me. I knew that she was giving me too much, but she didn't seem to notice. I was very happy and about to stick it in my pocket when she kind of smirked at me and came over and took everything except a twenty dollar bill. We said goodbye, and I walked down to where my family, Sean, and Bill were to show them the game that I had picked up.
We then left on some school bus that took a major drive through the country and there was someone there that was in charge that was supposed to be keeping an eye on us like a teacher or guard or something.
At one point the bus stopped and everyone got out. We were at a "T" in the road, and the bus was pulled off to the right of the road we were on, and just above the road that went off to our right. (if the bottom of the "T" was pointing to the right, the bus was on the upper right part of it) I'm not sure if the bus was stuck or if we just stopped, but to be able to get going again.
There were plastic balls all over the road, and we had to do this billiards thing where we had to knock all the balls off the road and into designated spots, one of which being a pond or something that was across the road from the bus. If we missed any of them, then that meant that we had to clean up the bus and someone else would have to try.
At first Eric (my brother) was trying, but I think that either he messed up, or I took his place, and so I was shooting over into that pond, which was right beside the road, but just on the other side of a barbed wire fence. I think I got that one, but I must've missed a later one, because I remember having to clean up the bus. Someone must've finished the sequence because we were finally going again, so I slacked off on the cleaning.
