The Real Surface of Jupiter

The first thing I remember seeing is this model of a planet in front of me. It was about the size of a basketball, with a fairly roughly hewn surface. But the thing that really stood out about it was this huge mountain/plateau that stood out on the upper right side of it. It stuck out as far as the radius of the planet itself, and was 5-6 inches wide on this scale model. Whoever it was there with me told me that this was a model of the true surface of Jupiter; if we got rid of all the clouds and thick atmosphere, way down in the middle was this chunk of a planet.

Right after that, I was shown a second "model" of a planet. Most of the surface was much rougher than the Jupiter one, but it didn't have any features that stand out on it. That one was supposed to be the true surface of Saturn. As I looked at both of these, it was almost as if I were flying by them in space looking at them. For Saturn, I was able to see it with it's rings and moons, but without the cloud cover. It was pretty interesting looking. For Jupiter, looking at it, I could see a dark mark on the surface of the planet where the Great Red Spot normally is. I actually looked at that a couple of times. Once it seemed like it was on top of this great plateau, and other times it seemed that it was on the "regular" surface.

I don't know who was talking to me about it, but whoever it was started telling me some very interesting things about Jupiter. They said that Jupiter looked like this at it's core, but scientists didn't know it yet because they hadn't been able to observe it. They also said that while the observable surface (the clouds) of Jupiter was 30 times the size of earth (it's actually about 10 times. I looked it up), this solid core was only about 2 times the size of earth. That didn't count the plateau. They were also telling me that the cloud cover was very thick and dense up in the higher atmosphere, but down lower, the closer it got to this core, the nicer and more earth-like it got. They were mentioning that even though the clouds absorbed so much of the heat from the sun, the planet was able to keep warm due to the clouds holding in heat, as well as the planet generating it's own heat. From this, I started thinking that perhaps it was possible for Jupiter to sustain life.

Soon after this, the next thing that I know is that I'm flying to the surface of Jupiter, but I don't think that I'm in any sort of craft. I'm just flying on my own. I come down next to the big plateau, down in this canyon. I start walking out in the direction I'm facing, with the plateau on my right, and I come out of the canyon, and in front of me, I'm seeing this huge machine-like city all around. It's built into the plateau, and into the ground.

Suddenly I'm with someone else who's in some sort of space suit. (I don't think I'm wearing one, though) I believe that there is also a third person, but the more I think about it, I wasn't really with these two guys. I was just standing around watching, but they couldn't see me. They were in this buggy thing, and they were trying to get into this big metal tunnel, but for some reason they weren't supposed to go in there. There were a number of "roads" that ended in ramps, and they were trying to jump their buggy from the ramp to the tunnel.

It seems that at first they were not getting enough speed, and their buggy didn't even make it to the top of the ramp, even though the ramps weren't very big. I think that they finally got a running start and got their buggy across. When they did, we all went down inside the tunnel into this underground city/complex. It had a very sci-fi military feel to it.

I wasn't down there for very long, and I was observing some of the people, also in these similar space suits, trying to get something done or prevent something from being done. I think that they may have been trying to keep those first two guys out for some reason, but they didn't know that they had already made it into the complex. It seems that one or two of them kept goofing off (there was only a group of five or six), and one of them was smoking a cigarette. (!) The last thing that I remember is these guys finally going out to the surface, and me going along with them. I took another look around at all the stuff outside, and then soon after that, the dream was over.

Camping, Unhappy Friends, and Power of the Unseen

I was with a group of people, and we were all swimming in this lake/river. But it was really weird because it was all very beach like. The ground all around was yellow sand, as was the floor of the lake/river (a little bit like Shenandoah Acres in Stuarts Draft, VA) We were all swimming around, but in a strange way. The water wasn't very deep, maybe about four feet or so, and instead of swimming in the traditional sense, we were all crouched down so that just our heads, from about our mouths upwards, were sticking out of the water. And we were just kind of walking around slowly. It seems that this whole thing was being done in a class sort of manner where we had one person leading us, and we were supposed to be learning.

I saw a mosquito heading in my direction, and I tried to avoid it, but it got me in the right corner of my left eye. At first I wasn't sure if it had gotten me, but then somehow I was outside of myself looking at myself, and I could see the bite. I remember it starting to itch, and then I remember seeing a lot of mosquitoes around. I think that some people noticed them, but most of them were trying to pretend that they weren't there, thinking that it would make them go away. We went around for a bit more, and I was trying to avoid the mosquitoes, and I was trying to think of how I was going to get out of the water without getting all bitten up. I believe I planned on just making a run for it, grabbing my stuff on the shore, and running back to my car, and hopefully they wouldn't be able to catch up with me.

As I got back to my car, it was one of those Jeep Liberty Sport deals. Philip (from Mercedes) and his girlfriend Bianca were already in the vehicle. They were arguing, and I came in on the middle of it. For some reason I wasn't sure if I was going to drive or not, so I started to put my stuff first into the front, and then into the back of this terribly untidy Jeep. Somehow I did or said something that made Bianca get upset at me as well, and I was thinking that there was no reason for that. I eventually got into the back seat, behind the driver, and Bianca was in the back on the passenger side. Philip wound up driving, and no one was in the front passenger seat. I remember it being somewhat of a stressful ride.

The next thing I know, it's night time, and I'm in this building that reminds me a little bit of a post office, but it was also some sort of storage place with all sorts of boxes and barrels. Bianca is there, as is Ashley (large blond farmer guy from high school), and for some reason, Bianca was still ticked at me. I decided I wanted to get away and hide from them so that they would leave me alone, so I decided to turn invisible and fly THROUGH the chain link fence to the storage area on the other side and just wait there. I tried turning invisible, but for some reason, it "seemed harder to do than last time," like it was something that I had done so effortlessly before.

Just as I was fading out, Ashley turned around and saw me disappear, which ruined the whole illusion of me just not being found. He started heckling me about, "Oh, so now you're invisible, huh? You think that I can't find you now, right?" and for some reason I knew that he could still sense me. So I flew up close to the ceiling and through the fence/bars into the storage side, and landed gently near the top of a big stack of crates, boxes, and barrels.

Him and Bianca came through the previously locked door, and were talking up at me like they could see me. I knew that they couldn't, but something was giving me away. I think I may have bumped the stack of boxes or crates, and that's how they figured out where I was. I don't remember a whole lot about what happened after that, but I believe that I remember flying back down after they left, and I went down to the left and down the dark hallway and up a short flight of stairs to the outside.

The Wreck and the Sewers

I was in my car, and someone I can't remember was with me. I believe it was a guy that was built fairly tall, had dark hair, and reminded me a little bit of John Rhays-Davies, but younger and without any facial hair. We were on an interstate, driving along, and the day was fairly overcast.

At one point I remember seeing a plane flying left close to the horizon off to my right. I believe that plane wrecked, and somehow, it caused a traffic backup on the road I was on. I wound up getting out of my car, and walking ahead a bit into what was kind of a small city-like scenario. There was a bridge, and I was walking under it along the left side of the underpass. As I did, there was a chain link fence to my left, and behind it was a road that went down to a warehouse looking place and some taller buildings. It was deserted down there. The passenger from my car was walking with me, and we eventually wound up in this underground tunnel that reminded me of what was supposed to be like a sewer, but without the smell, and it was cleaner. There was something very odd going on in this tunnel, but I can't quite put my finger on what. It's almost like some people were walking in, and when they got to be somewhere around us, they disappeared or something.

At the point where we were standing, the way we had come in was to our left, and we were on a higher portion of the walkway, and then right in front of us was another part of the tunnel that within about 30 feet curved sharply off to the right. It was like the people were going down there, but by vanishing, not walking. It was almost like there may have been a door in the wall that was immediately to my right, but something had to happen to your mind in order to be able to see it and pass through it, but when you did, you looked like you walked into the tunnel in front of us. Well, whatever the case, I somehow wound up making through this door myself.

I found myself in this small wooden room, with a wooden table and chairs and about three or four people around, and I was asking them if the guy with me was going to make it in. For some reason I was very concerned about him because I didn't think he would know how to do it and come through the door, or if he did wind up doing it, he wouldn't understand what was going on.

So another smaller built guy and I left and went to check on my friend, but by the time we had gotten back into the tunnel, he was gone. We somehow knew he had made it through the door. I wish I could remember the significance of this. Somehow it seemed very important, almost spiritual, that we were able to do this transitioning. In the dream I seemed to know, but I cannot remember it now.

Stephen's House

I don't really remember anything about the dream, but I remember being at Stephen's (friend from school) house. That's it. Heh. But it does trigger the memory of another dream that I don't believe I wrote down from a number of months ago.

I was back in Virginia, and I was traveling. Either I was driving very slowly, or I was walking. I was taking a road that went back past Sarah's (ex-girlfriend) house, and I may have even been leaving her house, but it was a very different house. It was smaller, back in the woods, and not up on a huge hill.

As I left, I was going along the road, and after some time, I took a right at a T that I came to in the road. I went that way quite a ways, and I eventually came to this intersection where there was some woods to my left, perhaps with a house or two in there, and a couple of buildings on my right. One of them may have been a store or a gas station, and perhaps a house or two.

Evidently I kept traveling, and I wound up in this really hilly area. I remember more seeing it from a distance, even though I was down in everything. The road was old and gravel, and it was kind of an old farm appearance. There was an old rusted up car (but I remember white paint on it that had spots on it that had turned a little blue because of the rust (???) showing up underneath it) and a lot of old fence work. I remember being down in the middle of all of this for a short bit, looking around some of the old barn-like buildings and stuff, but eventually I kept going, and I got to Stephen's house.

I went inside, and it seems that I went around quite a bit, almost like Stephen was giving me a tour. I remember something about a room that was a connector to other rooms (much like his room was for the upstairs, being in between the hallway and another room and having a door to both) downstairs, and in this room was a big round wooden table.

I remember looking out into their yard from an upstairs window for a bit. After showing me around, we went back outside, and we were in the yard for a bit. It was very cloudy, and I think it may have been getting dark out. I can't remember if he seemed agitated or if he was just quiet or what, but he didn't seem his normal self.

After a short bit, I think I thanked him, and I left, going back the way I came. I went back through that hilly area, and somehow it struck me that this belonged to him and his family. I kept going, and I eventually wound back up at that T, and I turned left to go back down that way. At this point, I'm fairly sure I was walking and not driving. Eventually this road took me to "downtown" Weyers Cave, and I turned right and went up one of the roads that was supposed to come up from the area where the post office was. Again, it was very woodsy there, and I think I remember something about driving, and going fast, and I went back down the hill towards the post office again.

Never Made It To Work

I was out doing something, like shopping or at an appointment of some sort. I remember driving back home, and I believe it was raining. It was night time out, but when I got back home, it was early morning. I had told Ron, my boss at Mercedes, that I would be in around lunch that day because of this appointment. After I got home, for some reason I went to sleep, planning on waking up around 10:30 or so, so I could get up and get ready to go on time.

I think I was sleeping on the love seat, and when I woke up, I remember looking at the clock, which seemed kind of fuzzy at first, and it said that it was around 5:30. I had majorly overslept! I was incredibly upset. I checked my email, and there were some messages from Ron in my email box. He was quite angry, and he had sent emails a couple times throughout the day trying to find out what was going on with me. I remember seeing some of the text on the screen written in all caps. I think it was something like, "I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU RIGHT AWAY!"

Em was here with me, but I don't remember what she was saying I should do. I knew I had to call Ron and let him know what had happened, but I was so upset for letting him down that I was crying. I couldn't believe I had done this. It seems that I may have called right at the end of the dream, still crying.

The Holocaust Museum, and Falling Planets

I remember starting out at a museum, and this museum had a Jewish Holocaust part to it. There were a couple of rickety elevators that went up a couple of floors, and they would drop as they got to the top because they were trying to scare the passengers, as if that was what happened all the time at Auschwitz.

I think I was supposed to be a with a group from school who was doing the tour of this place, but at the same time, doing the Holocaust tour wasn't required. Even though I knew it was supposed to be scary, I did it anyway. While I was waiting for my turn with my small group, I remember seeing the elevators going up to the next floor. The elevator cars were out in the open rather than behind any sort of wall or glass enclosure, but they were solid so you couldn't see the people inside of them. I would watch them as they went up, and then I would see them kind of jostle and swing a little bit, like it was supposed to be simulating the falling.

Pretty soon it was my turn, and so I got into the elevator with my group. Even though the elevators were solid metal boxes from the outside, once inside, you could see out. I was towards the back of the elevator, and as we went up, I looked out the back and down towards the floor. When we got to the top, we "fell", and I watched the floor come up towards us. The we stopped safely, and we were taken back up to the top again.

After we all got out, we were on a balcony that ran around the top of the big room I had been waiting in, rather than on an actual second floor that was separate from the rest of everything. There were a number of rooms that you were supposed to be able to look in to. One of them showed the big pits that they were throwing people in to. Another was a room showing a gas chamber. It seems that I remember hearing a woman yelling in the gas chamber room. I didn't look into any of the rooms, though, because I was scared of what I would see, and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to sleep for a long time if I did.

Suddenly I realized that everyone was leaving through a hallway that was off to my right, past some of the doors. I followed, and as I did it seemed the people were moving quite fast. For some reason I was having trouble keeping up, like I was on crutches or something. (but I wasn't. Moving just felt labored at that point)

The hallway led directly outside to a brick or paved pathway that had lots of trees and greenery on either side of it. The right side was especially lush, and that went uphill. To my left, while there were still plants there, it went downhill. I was trying to keep up with someone that was right in front of me who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Everyone else was wearing one, too, and I think even I was. It was supposed to be our way to identify one another or something.

I followed the paved pathway, and it lead us to the area where our buses were parked to take us home. This area was like it was in a park. It was a very wooded area around us, and this parking lot was in the middle of nowhere. There were also a number of cars around.

Somehow, even though my movement was labored, and I was way behind everyone, I wound up being one of the first one's there. A couple of others were very antsy about getting everything together and leaving as soon as possible. For whatever reason, I decided that in order to help speed things up, I was going to move the buses from the back of the parking area to the road that left from the parking area. (which was to my left from that perspective.) But I didn't drive the buses. I grabbed the rope that was tied on to the front of each one, and I was pulling them. They were very lightweight, and pulling them was nearly effortless.

I pulled one, and then another, and I got them parked side by side, and then there was a white truck of some sort, like a tanker truck or big moving truck or a tractor trailer. I pulled it and was trying to move it, and for some reason I thought that in order to get it out of the way, I had to pull it in between the two buses and get that out onto the road first. When I did that, I wound up pulling too hard and misjudging the space between the buses, and I crashed the truck right into the back of the buses. I remember seeing the truck being fairly damaged, but for some reason I thought I had just mis-aimed.

I tried it again, pulling it over to my right a bit more (it had hit the left bus more than the right one), but it still didn't come through. I moved it back, and I hoped that no one would notice it. I think a friend or two of mine that were there were making fun of me for crashing the truck to a point that it no longer looked drivable. So I started walking back to the right side (from where I first entered) of the parking lot, along all the cars. Everyone was getting into their cars to go. As I came past a car, a motorcycle, and a big dark green pickup, a motorcycle helmet popped up from over the back of the truck. Don (the big gorilla-shaped guy from Mercedes) came from the far side of the truck, thanked me for catching the helmet, took it from me, and got on the bike.

The next thing I know, I'm on the patio of my apartment, and I'm looking at the sky over across the canal. I see the moon there, in the morning time, just as a crescent that is situated like a smile, and I see all these little objects circling the earth between us and the moon. They're moving to my left across the sky, and I remembered someone telling me about the asteroids that were coming. As I watched them, the got a little bigger, and I remember that they seemed to be somehow changing phases as they passed in front of the moon. (it was like each one was a perfectly round little moon). For some reason, when they passed in front of the moon, the side close to the moon got dark, almost as if the moon were casting darkness on the far side of the asteroids.

Then, as I watched, some of them were getting caught in the gravitational field of the moon, and they were circling the moon. These things were moving very fast. It only took them a couple of seconds to move across the sky or around the moon. Somehow I knew that with these things circling the moon, that was going to alter their path enough that they were going to lose stability and being flung about. I was afraid that they were going to be thrown to earth. Just as I thought of that, a couple of them did start falling to earth.

I remember that they hit and embedded themselves in the ground, and the ground shook as they hit. They were big, but not as big as they should have been to make them visible as they went around the moon. If I had walked up to one, it probably would have been about the size of a McDonald's or something. Anyway, a number of them hit, and I remember thinking that Texas might sink because of it. As I thought that, it DID sink for a moment. I remember seeing the water rise up and over me, and the Texas bobbed back up to the surface again. A lot of things had washed away at that point.

There was also some guy close by (who, for some reason, seemed huge, like he was also the size of a building or something) who was working out on something similar to a soloflex. He was saying something about how making it through the water was tough because of the exercise equipment he was on. (evidently he kept using it through the "flood", and doing so almost caused him to drown because he was holding himself down.

After this happened, I knew I had to go and start making sure that everyone was okay. I went out to the parking lot, and even though I knew that Cobbie (from Mercedes) was on the other side of the city, he was also here in the parking lot with his car. He was closing his trunk, and I talked with him a moment to make sure he was okay. This parking lot sat at the edge of the canal rather than being back from it a bit, and the building I was staying in was directly behind be, not a ways off.

I then turned around, and I walked into the front of my building. There was a small lobby area that I had to go through, and there was a lady sitting at the front desk there. I asked if I could go up to my room, and she asked me if I was already staying there. I said yes, and she said okay, that they just weren't taking any new customers right now. I said okay and thanked her, and since the electricity was out, I went up about 3 flights of big and grandiose stairs. I got up to my "room" (it was now kind a cross between an apartment and a hotel) and went in quickly to check on Nellie Belle, our cat.

As I opened my door, she was there, kind of skulking along the floor because of being scared by the falling asteroids. (which I forgot to mention above, we kept calling them planets as we were watching them, but we knew that they were actually asteroids) My kitchen and bathroom were supposed to be off through the left door as I walked in, and my bedroom and living room were off to the right. Nellie ran in to the door at the right and hid under the bed. I walked in, and things seemed a bit jostled, but otherwise okay.

I tried turning on the light, but there was nothing. I realized, though, that we had partial electricity because my fan was on (a square window fan sitting on a table) as was my radio. But the TV, lights, and other things would not come on. I walked back to the back of the bedroom/living room, and I glanced out the window. The sun was starting to set, and it was getting dark inside the room.

I turned around, and I was thinking that I wanted to check on the rest of the place, so to do so, I wound up seeing a projection in front of me of the floor plan of the apartment, and I was scrolling through it with my mouse, but the funny thing was that I wasn't at my computer, because I didn't think that there would be enough electricity to run it. I panned the page up and down, and I could even see Nellie skulking around back out the bedroom door and back in under the bed on it. I zoomed in and out briefly, and then when I was done it just went away.

I looked to my right at the door that led to the kitchen/dining room area, and then straight ahead of me, and except for the lack of electricity and Nellie being scared, everything seemed okay, amazingly enough. One thing that I noticed (a little earlier on, but I'm not sure when. Just before I went upstairs, perhaps) was that Em was not here with me. It was like she didn't live with me. I'm not sure why, though. I just know that I was living on my own with Nellie Belle.

Jason Scott Lee is a Murderer

There was something about starting out with the actor Jason Scott Lee in Virginia, and we were supposed to meet a friend of his somewhere. I can't remember where we were or where we were going. He kept telling us about how his friend was in a wreck early this morning, and that he had died and so he wouldn't be meeting up with us as planned.

There was something about going into Super Save and looking around. I was there to buy bread. After going around the store for a bit, I found the bread. It was like it was down in front of the meat section, down one of the aisles. It seems like I was shopping with Em at that point, and she was there looking at something with me.

After we left, we were heading down Keezletown road, as if I were driving to Nick's (former step-brother) old apartment or Scott's (best friend from elementary school) old house. As we got part way down (about to where Nick used to live), it was night time, and there were a lot of flashing lights and sirens ahead from police cars and ambulances. Jason was telling us that they were there because of his friend being in the wreck. I don't know if he had said something that made me realize, or if I just knew, but somehow I knew he had caused the wreck of his friend and caused him to die, and he had done it on purpose. It seems that I may have asked him about it, but I don't remember his reply.
