House on a Pole

I started out somewhere on Afton Mountain. I wasn't driving, but I was traveling some how. I could have been flying or walking or climbing, but I'm not sure which.

Anyway, while I was there, I wound up meeting up with Rich Z (from work) and we wound up going to my house. The house turned out to be the little rented house I lived in for a couple of months while I was in Savannah, GA. He was supposed to be helping me out with fixing it up or something.

Once we got there, we went inside. We were walking through the house trying to decide what needed to be done to it when the house lifted up all of a sudden and went up in the air 100 or 200 feet.

While it was up in the air, I had a dual vantage point of what was going on. I could see the house from the outside, seeing the big wooden hydraulic telescoping pole that it was sitting on top of, but I was also still in the house, feeling it moving and jerking about, almost as if it were swinging from the end of a rope rather than sitting on a giant pole.

The house eventually went back down, and Rich and I resumed our walk around the house as if nothing had happened, or as if it had at least been a known feature of the house. Then the house shot up again, swinging around more wildly this time, and there was a loud cracking sound and the wooden pole below the house snapped. I felt the house falling for quite some time, tumbling about and the wind blowing around wildly, but eventually the house landed and stopped.

Even though the pole had broken and the house had fallen, I wound up leaving through a trap door in the floor of the house and I started shimmying my way down the pole. On my way down, I noticed that there was a big hole, like a knothole of a tree, and it was full of ants. I thought to myself, "Great! I just can't seem to get away from ants!" (in waking life we had a couple of ant problems over the past few weeks and I'm tired of it.)

As I looked around for a way to get around the ants without getting them all over me, I saw that the wooden pole was now a big limbless tree trunk, and the house was no longer on top of it. I decided that I just need to go past the nest of ants quickly and I'd be okay. I did that and finally got to the ground, and Rich was there waiting on me to resume talking about the house.

Death of Sarah

[This dream was from a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't write it down at that time, so I guessed on the date, and I don't remember large chunks of it now.]

Em (my wife) and I were in our house, and it was a bit dark and rainy or stormy outside. We had all of the lights off in the house and we were in the kitchen area.

At some point before this, something had happened to Sarah (an ex-girlfriend) and she had died, and somehow Em and I had come into possession of her body wrapped in a big thick black plastic bag. We had had her for a number of days and we were waiting to get rid of her, but I'm not sure what we were waiting for.

So we were in the kitchen, and Sarah's body was over in front of the oven. To keep her from smelling up the place, we had to open the head end of the bag, hold her mouth open and pour a bunch of Lysol into her throat. After we did that, we closed the bag back up.

Some time later we picked her up and we were dragging her from the house, but I don't remember what happened after that.

See? I told you the stars were moving!

I started out at either the Harrisonburg mall or the Annapolis mall, and it was night time. The mall had closed and I was leaving and walking through the parking lot with Em (wife), Duane S. (a guy from high school) mom, and maybe Eric and Matthew. (brothers)

While on the way to the car(s), I looked up towards the horizon off to my right, and I noticed a few stars moving around. I slowed down and looked around the sky more, and I could see several groups of stars just starting to move around or just finishing up moving around. They were moving around in different ways. Some went around in small circles, others shot across the sky, and others just wound around and in between other stars.

I realized that this was the first time that I had seen this with other people around. (in other dreams where this happens, I tend to be alone and get scared when I see it) I wasn't as scared as usual because of everyone else being around, and I said something to them about the stars moving.

At first no none believed me because when they'd glance up, nothing moved. It was almost as if the stars knew when I was the one looking up, and if anyone else looked, they'd stop. Then after a time or two of people looking back down and talking amongst themselves again, Duane looked up one time just in time to see it happening. He got all excited and pointed it out to the others. Since more than one person was seeing it now, they paid more attention, and eventually they saw it too.

While watching it, at one point I almost felt the fear of the whole thing closing in on me like it normally does, and I think I realized for a brief moment that I was dreaming. I wound up making myself watch the stars, and within a moment I forgot I was dreaming again and I managed to stay in the dream instead of it scaring me awake.

While watching the stars moving around, I fixated on a small group that were moving around in a tight circle. More stars joined in and the circle grew, and after a short moment, they faded away just as a huge image of the moon faded into it's place. I think I noticed other groups had done the same thing and become some of the planets, but I'm not entirely sure.

The image of the moon stayed in a sort of faded view except for this thin bright arc at the bottom where the sun was shining off of it as if it were very close to New Moon. The moon was the size of a basketball held at arms length. It was absolutely massive!

After a little bit, I got into my car and I was driving around through a neighborhood like Harlequin Lane (where Em's parents live in waking life). It was getting lighter out, and as I was driving, I felt like I was looking for a particular place, but at the same time I wasn't. I wasn't lost, but more like aimless and bored and interested in what would happen to the sky as the dawn continued.

I found that as it got lighter, the stars stopped moving around, and the large translucent image of the moon slowly faded away leaving a moon that was the size of the "real" moon. It still had the same sliver of bright light on the under side, but now it was just normal sized. When I saw this, I commented to myself, "Oh! so THAT's the real size of the moon," as if I had no idea what the real size of the moon was.

Soon after that realization, the dream ended.

Climbing at Work

I was at work (Mercedes) and I was walking around the warehouse a bit aimlessly. I think I had gone up to the key room briefly, and then I came back out by the receiving dock. I was walking down the main traffic aisle in front of our pallet rack area, and I got to about where they process the air freight so that I was on the opposite side of it from my office.

I noticed that Wayne, a guy that had retired more than a year ago, was back and was filling in for someone for the second shift of receiving. (which we don't really have) I looked at the clock up on the wall above the dock doors, and I noticed that he was about 45 minutes early. We chatted briefly about it, and me made it out like it didn't really matter, so I didn't really care too much.

Then I turned and went back to the pallet rack area, and I wound up between the pallet racks and the small bins. I think that at first I was alone, and it suddenly seemed very late, like around 9pm. There was stuff going on that I don't remember, and I heard people around here and there.

At some point, something came up about climbing around on the freight that was in the pallet rack area. I think the first time, I was actually lifted by fork lift to an empty location on the aisle that faces the small bins. I was up there with Ricky (a punk from work) for some reason, and we were several levels up. Then he climbed down, and I saw the path that he had taken to get down. Rather than getting down the same way, I wound up going over to one of the main support poles, wrapping my left leg around it and using my right leg for support, and I slid down it slowly but effortlessly. I think I may have even passed Ricky on the way down. The really strange thing was that as I slid, I didn't tilt over or anything. It was as if I was able to stand up straight the whole time I was sliding down.

Then more people were around, and we were looking at other aisles in the pallet rack area. Many of the aisles had freight boxes sticking out of them in a way that they almost formed steps. People were getting up on the stuck out portions of the boxes and climbing around, commenting on how well it was all laid out. It turned out that Ricky was the one that had put that stuff away, and it was actually because of him that things were stacked so well. (which is contrary to his normal work routine)

After that the dream ended.

Together Forever

Em and I grew old, went to a hospital, and opted to get something like a lethal injection so we could die at the same time. We went through the process and was a little scared at first, but I just surrendered to it and let it happen. I felt myself leaving my body. Em and I saw each other again after we were dead, and we were young again and we hugged.

Alternate Version of Me

I started out at work, and Chip (a guy I used to work with in the key room) was down in the receiving office. He was talking to Toni (my supervisor) about ordering channels on the Dish Network, but all he had was a list of channel numbers and he couldn't figure out which channels they actually were. I had just come into the office and he brought the list over to me and asked me if, since I used to have Dish Network, if I remembered any of the channels. The list was dark blue with light blue writing, and there were really large blocks of empty space to write in between each channel number. Each space was over an inch tall and went halfway across the paper. There were two columns of numbers and spaces.

I looked through the list and most of them looked unfamiliar. I found channel 160 and 162 and remembered that 160 was MTV, so I wrote that on his list. As I was writing it, I kept screwing it up. I couldn't figure out why I had so much trouble writing "MTV", but I had to scribble it out and start over many times.

I eventually gave the list back to Chip, apologizing for not being able to remember more of them. After he left, I saw a small white cardboard box on my desk. I asked Toni about it and she said that Chip left it there and that I could have it. When I opened it, it had some sort of decorative wash cloth thing in it.

Then I wound up going back home to grandmamma's house. I was in the room that used to be Eric's and Matthew's (brothers) and it was huge, as if it took up the entire second floor. It was brightly and colorfully lit, and there was a twin size Tempur-pedic bed against the wall opposite of the closet. Em had showed up there, but it was almost as if I didn't know her very well yet or something because I knew that there was someone else that was supposed to be moving into that room with me, but we had a falling out and it turned out they weren't going to move in. I was either talking about this with Em or around her, and she piped up and volunteered to move in there with me. I was really happy about this. I also realized that there was a second Tempur-pedic bed in the room that was originally setup for the first person, but now Em and I could put the two side by side as if they were a single king sized bed.

I wound up going to sleep and then I woke up again. My alarm was going off and it was 3:30am just like any normal work morning. We were back in our normal bedroom in Texas and Em was there and she had just come to bed. When my alarm went off and I woke up, she got up, too.

She hadn't been feeling well the night before (which was true in waking life, too) and she had spent most of her night up and about trying to not keep me awake. When we got up, she was telling me about the stuff that she had been doing during the night. As I was looking around, I saw that all the lights and fans were on. She said something about "the skylight", and I went into the laundry room and saw that we not only had a skylight, but it was wide open and letting in a lot of heat and humidity despite the fact that it was dark out. I said something to Em about this and she apologized and I pushed the button that lowered it back into place and closed it up.

As I proceeded to the front of the house, it was suddenly very light out and sometime around 7:30 or 8am. I neared the computer room and I found that Em's parents were visiting. They were sitting on the floor just inside the front door. I said good morning to them and went into the computer room. While I was in there, they chatted a little bit with both Em and I.

While I was in the computer room, I noticed a box or crate to the left (my left) of Paul between him and the apothecary. They had just taken the lid off the box and were kind of rearranging the contents of it using a brush or scoop of some sort. I noticed that it was a box of ashes.

I was starting to wonder about it when I remembered something Em had told me earlier. (I don't think she actually said it during the course of the dream. I think it was more of a fabricated memory.) She told me that she had gone to an alternate universe or time line, and while she was there she had found me, but soon after I had died. She wound up having me cremated there, and when she came back, she brought my ashes with her.

I wound up laughing because of the strangeness of being dead and alive at the same time and everyone wound up looking at me like I was doing something very bizarre. I pointed at the box and said how weird it was that there was "an alternate version of me" in the box. No one else seemed very surprised by it, though, and just kind of shrugged it off.

After that, I messed a little bit with something I was wearing on my head. It wasn't a hat or scarf or anything that I really recognized, but it was light blue and a bit fuzzy. Paul made some sort of comment about, possibly about it making me look like a sailor or something.

About that time I think I tripped, and on my way down I noticed that Nelly's litter box was there in the living room where the CDs normally sit. There was a lot of kitty poo around on the carpet because the litter box was too full, and when I put my hand down to catch myself from falling, I gone one stuck to the palm-side of my left index finger. It was so stuck that it wouldn't even shake off.

I went into the bathroom to wash off the poo and I saw myself in the mirror. I almost looked like a "Gotti boy" or a "guido" because of how the blue thing I was wearing had pulled my hair back and made it all spiked up. When I was done washing my hands I took the thing off, but my hair persisted to look all spiked up.

Eventually I wound up leaving and driving away. Rather than driving from my house, though, it was like I was driving from my old high school. Also, even though it had been warm at the house, it was now very cold, and by the time I had gotten to the intersection at Rt. 11 there was snow on the ground. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make it slick. I was on the phone whooping and hollering to Em about how great it was that it had snowed.

The light at the intersection was green, and I wound up driving through a little too fast. I was turning left to go north, and there was a cop stopped at the light waiting for it to turn green for him to go north, too. I knew he saw me going too fast, but I was hoping that as long as I didn't slide around, it would look like it was okay and the cop wouldn't bother to pull me over. I think I made it through okay and the dream ended.

Destroying the House

I started out on my grandparents farm out by the dairy barn. I'm not sure why I was there or what was going on for the most part. There was a little shack of a house there, just out from the left side of the barn. This little house was very very little. It was only about 4 feet tall on the inside, and maybe about four feet wide by eight feet long. It was a lot like a little play house or something. The inside of this house had hard wood floors and two rooms. One was specifically supposed to be a bedroom, and the other was supposed to be a kitchen/dining area. There were at least two other people there with me. One of them was Em, and I'm not 100% sure who the other one was. It may have been Pete from work, or it may have been Sandy from the church I used to go to. Either way, this house was supposed to be for them.

I think Pete/Sandy had left, and so it was just Em and I left there. I think there was something that happened where I caused the house to be destroyed, but I'm not exactly sure how. Actually, this house may have been the second one. There may have been a "first house" that was supposed to belong to them, but that one was the one that was destroyed.

Shortly after all of this, I wound up leaving with Em. I'm not sure if I was thinking back or if this was actually something that was supposed to be happening anew, but we wound up at a bigger house that was supposed to be in Savannah, Georgia but it was all dilapidated and falling apart. What I mean is, that in the dream, I knew that there was a house I had lived in that was in Savannah, and I had destroyed it previously. As I started thinking about it, that seemed to be the main direction that the dream took: replaying a supposed memory as if it were the actual dream in progress.

Anyway, Em and I went in the front door. Going inside, the house was totally demolished inside. The ceilings had fallen in, and the walls were just the bare two-by-fours, but all the wood looked very old and rotten, as if it had once been part of an old barn or something. The wood was all dark gray and black, but it was just very heavily weathered, not burnt. The layout of the house was a little weird. There seemed to be a total of four rooms. One was the living room, and it was a pretty big room that ran across the whole front of the house and literally took up half the house. The second half was the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, and each one had a door that led into the living room. The way to the kitchen was pretty big, as if it were a double door of sorts. It was in the middle. The bathroom was on the left and the bathroom was on the right. It was kind of like this, with the front door at the bottom in the middle:

bath
kitchen bedroom
living room

We were looking around, and I started thinking again about what had happened in this house when I lived there:

I had been in the living room, and everything looked very normal (still the same old rotten looking wood, but assembled correctly) but old. I had setup something that would cause the house to pretty much implode on request. When I made it implode (I'm not exactly sure how I did so, but it may have been via telekinesis of some sort) I was using various types of mental energy, such as telekinesis, to keep the falling house off of me and to keep me safe. It was kind of a practice that I was doing to build this ability. Then I would do something that would cause everything to move in reverse and rebuild the house in a matter of a few seconds and then I'd do it all over again.

I did this one time while Em was there, and she was appalled that I was doing this to a house. She didn't think I should be tearing the house apart at all because it was "a perfectly good house," and I couldn't convince her that I was able to fix it just like it had been. At the same time, I did have a little bit of doubt that it was as good as it had been in the first place. It seems that the house was getting weaker and weaker each time I performed the stunt, and eventually it wouldn't stay up on it's own anymore.
