Time Flows in a Circle Here

I know that I started out at a house up on top of a hill, and I was there talking to someone's parents, (I don't remember who's. I think it was an old friends or something, but I don't remember specifically) even though it was supposed to be Em's parent's house.

After a short amount of time, Paul and Marilyn showed up driving my Hyundai. They had gotten the front passenger side fender fixed (in waking life, it was really damaged in Tennessee, on my way to move to Texas) and completely surprised me. I thought that was great!

Then it turned out that Em and I were supposed to meet her parents to go on vacation. They left
first, and Em and I packed up. After getting packed, we left and drove down the hill from the house. As we drove down the road, someone else in a Jeep Laredo (like the one Em's parents used to have) came out of their drive way right in front of us and also started down the hill. They were driving a bit recklessly, and they wound up spinning out of control and landed backwards in the ditch on the right side of the road. Em and I just drove past to meet up with her parents.

When we got there, it was at this little place almost out in the middle of nowhere. It was some hotel that was run by a Japanese family. They wore some very traditional garb. The women were dressed up as Geisha, and the man (men? if there was more than one, they didn't make themselves very obvious) wore a grey kimono and black pants. We went to our room and put our things away. As soon as we were in the room, I knew we had been there before. (it turns out that I have been in this whole "neighborhood", that I will be describing shortly, in another dream. Unfortunately I don't remember that previous dream... only that this was the setting in that dream as well.)

As we walked in the door, the room was big, but the floorspace was very narrow, being only about six to eight feet across. It stretched out about six feet to our right and about fifteen feet to
our left. There were a lot of pieces of homemade furniture around. The chairs at the left end of the room were small and low to the ground, as were the tables, kind of like coffee tables, that sat between them. I know that there was a twin sized bed in there somewhere, but I don't really know where. The floor was made of dirt in some spots (where we first came in), wood flooring in others (off to the far left with the chairs and tables) and flagstone over the rest (to the right). Directly in front of us where the floor ended, there was a huge pit that was about twenty feet across, and the floor continued on the other side, where there was a little bit of a banister, and then a door on the far wall, off to the right near the corner.

It seems that I remember seeing a lot of activity over there near the door from the Geisha women coming and going. I don't know what they were doing, though. Then there was something about seeing one of them trying to hide under one of the small chairs to the left for a moment, and when I looked again, she was gone, but there was a Pound Puppy that I used to have that they had taken from me the last time we were there. That was what really triggered my memory as to our having been there before.

Then a moment later, a white guy (kind of a greasy looking, spiky mulleted, tee shirt and M.C. Hammer pants wearing guy. His shirt was black with white writing, but I don't remember what it said, although it seems that I knew what it said at the time) and his girlfriend went floating through the room from the right to the left, laughing at us because we hadn't mastered the art of flight yet. As they were flying out the window about eight feet up, I realized that this was supposed to be a place to hone your spiritual and metaphysical abilities.

I don't remember what happened right after that point, but I know that I left, and I was going through the neighborhood that this hotel was in. Em was with me, but I don't remember how we were moving. It had the feel of moving in a vehicle, but it was also somewhat like walking. We wound up going past this chrome and glass single story building that looked like a 1950's diner, and we were going to stop in there, but I remembered that's where I ended up last time I was here, and about a hundred angry monkey's showed up and started throwing baseball sized stones through the glass at me to try to kill me. I knew that if I went in there again, the same thing would happen.

We continued on for a little while, but we knew that we had to get inside soon. Unfortunately I don't remember what that reason was. We wound up finding what looked like a cross between an old school bus and a mobile home, and we went in there. Soon after getting in there, I was trying to do something... again, unfortunately, the reason, or even what I was trying to accomplish, has been lost to me.

I know that I wound up walking to the back of this mobile home/bus like I was going to leave, and there was a redheaded girl there (about my age) by the back door and wearing one of the old paper hats like from the 1950's diner, and she was at a cash register. I stopped, I looked at her, and I looked outside. I think I talked with her momentarily, and somehow the subject of "the secret of this place" came up. She either asked me if I knew what the secret was, or if I wanted to know. Either way, I answered that I wanted her to tell me, and she said, "The secret to this place is that the time flows in a circle. It repeats each week." Somehow I almost had the feeling of "of course!!" and this answered all the questions I had about this place (like how I'd been here before and why I knew the monkeys were going to throw stones at me again).

I then went back up to the front of the bus (the front was more like a bus, and the back was more like a mobile home) and there was a black woman there that was somewhat like a cross between Oprah and The Oracle (from the Matrix) It was almost as if she were supposed to be the one controlling what goes on there or the one that controls whether or not I can leave. She said something to me like "Oh, it's okay. You can try again next time."

I started acting like I was crying and I went over to her and gave her a big hug. Then as I had her there, I giggled a bit and I said in her ear, "I know the secret of this place," which she didn't like at all. She flat out told me, "No you don't!", and I said, "Just watch me!" I went again to the back of the mobile home, I thanked the girl at the cash register, and I kicked out the window, and I jumped out and onto a covered wagon (covered by a platform, like a ceiling, and it was open on all four sides, not like the old cloth covered wagons...) that was being pulled by a tractor
that was waiting there for me. The same girl that was at the cash register was driving it, and with my new "knowledge" of the place, I stood there on the wagon as she pulled off and drove me up the street and out of the town, with the feeling that I had finally "beaten this place, and I would no longer have to return unless I wanted to."

The dream ended as I went up the street, with people at either side of the street. Some were cheering. Some were just watching. Some looked angry.
