Friends with Benjamin Linus

I think it started out that I was watching TV, and there was supposed to be a five minute segment about the show Lost and some behind the scenes footage and stuff. I got upset about something, and I think it had to do with that they were trying to say that part of the story was something that it wasn't. I was afraid of them misleading people, I think, and making people think that the show was dumb because of it. Then somehow along the way, it turned out the segment unexpectedly grew to a full 30 minute show or something.

While I was watching it, I think it changed slowly so that now I was part of the show, and it was no longer a segment about the actors or the show, but it was now supposed to be real, and I was part of the group that was stuck on the island.

There was a group of the Others there, and Benjamin Linus (their implied "leader" on the show) was there as well. I think they were trying to make us work and keep us imprisoned, like they do on the show, but they were allowing us more freedom in moving around. At one point I was going through what looked like a big stone temple with metal doors and stone columns lit by torches, and I think that I somehow suddenly realized what was going on. At first I was outraged at them for making us stay there and treating us like work horses or something.

I was then able to have some sort of conversation with Ben, and somehow during the course of it, we got to be friends. He was scared about his tumor, and I was trying to comfort him, and he wound up letting everyone go. I decided to hang around voluntarily for a while. At one point I passed by him in a narrow hallway, and as we passed, I turned and patted him on the back as a kind of assurance that everything was going to be alright.

Cleaning the Garage

I was at Mike's (former stepfather) house, and I was outside in the driveway and close to the garage. Em (wife), mom, Eric and Matthew (brothers) were there, too. We were working on cleaning out the garage.

We had a bunch of stuff outside in the driveway, and we were all sort of buzzing around, and all of a sudden Sarah (ex-girlfriend) showed up. She kept trying to take over the whole operation of cleaning out the garage, telling us all what to do and how to do it, but I don't think Em realized who it was at first. After she realized, though, she laid into Sarah pretty good for even showing up, let alone telling us all what to do and how to do it.

Matthew In The Pit

I was in a large field like area, and in the middle of it there was a building that was a little bit like an open air stable or pavilion. It was mainly a roof on posts, and it was about 50 feet square. Underneath it, the ground had a lot of hay and dirt, and it seemed like it should have been used for animals to stay in.

In the middle of this, there was a large stone mound. It was circular and about 20 feet across. It was fairly short, coming in at about only four feet tall. It had the feel of being like a large brick oven.

I was expecting my brother Matthew to show up, and my wife Emily was there with me. I think we waited around for a moment, looking at the stone structure, and Matthew suddenly came up out of a side door in the structure. We greeted each other warmly, and in talking with him, we found out that he had built this structure for me as some sort of "studio" or "get away" room. I thought the notion of him making this for me was great, but I thought that I would never make any real use of it because it was too short for me to even stand up in.

I went around to where Matthew had come out of the thing, and I saw that the door was recessed into an entry way in the side of it, and had steps in front of it that went down about three or four feet into the ground. All of it was made of stone. The door was at the bottom of the steps and was very solid, like a heavy stone or steel door.

I went down the steps, and I had a flashlight with me. The door was open, and I pointed the flashlight into dark room. I had expected to see something that looked like a root cellar that was too short to even stand up in, but I was surprised to see that it was a full eight feet tall, and the inside was all metallic and smooth and finished. I thanked Matthew for doing this awesome thing for me, and I was excited to get started using it.

Then the three of us left as if we were going to go visit mom in grandmamma's old house.
