Goddess Head

I had taken some sort of trip, and I was in Savannah again. It was night time out, and I was walking along River Street trying to get home. (or at least what was supposed to be River Street. There were tall old buildings on my right and open space (including a river, perhaps?) to my left)

As I was walking along, I was feeling slightly fearful, although I'm not sure what the reason was for it. I wound up passing a person here and there. One was a woman. A little later I passed a black man wearing green mechanic's overalls. He wound up trying to strike up a conversation with me, but I really wasn't interested in talking to him.

Eventually he figured out (whether I told him, or he just assumed it from something I had said, I can't remember) that I was heading home, but I still had a ways to go. He offered for me to stay at his place for the night, but I didn't really want to. I tried to keep walking, and he was walking along with me. Finally we wound up passing a building and he walked up the stairs and said that we had made it to his place, and that I was welcome to stay the night. I declined and continued walking, but somehow I wound up in his apartment anyway. (when I got into his apartment, it was a nice one. Things were a warm cream color with excellent lighting. The furniture all looked new and comfortable. It was a big apartment, almost more like a house.)

The strange thing is when I got in there, he was no longer the black guy I had been conversing with, but he was now Sean (my cousin), and he was sitting on the sofa. For some reason, though, I still wasn't wanting to stay with him. I think at this point I was afraid that he was going to try to hit on me, even though I was his cousin. Soon after this, I think I finally gave in and found a place to sleep. I went to sleep and wound up having a dream within a dream.

I was floating out in the middle of this big grayish spherical room. It looked very technological, having piping and lights and such built into metallic paneled walls. There seemed to be several passageways that led out of the room, one basically lying in each major direction. There were 4 that went out horizontally (to my front, back, left, and right) and then one that went up and one that went down.

Right out in front of me was a woman's head. It was all metallic, and the color was between a gray and light blue. I think that her hair was even close to this color, although it may have been just a little darker. The only part about her that wasn't metallic were her eyes. They looked normal. Anyway, after a second, she got this big scared look on her face and did an exaggerated look downwards. Her head actually kind of shifted upwards while here eyes looked extremely down into the the tube below.

I wound up looking down to see what she was looking at, and when I did, I took off in that direction, flying down into the darkness of that tunnel. I don't remember what happened while I was down there, but the next thing I knew was that I was in the spherical room again, and the woman was in front of me again. She wound up doing the same thing as before, but this time I knew I didn't want to go down, so instead I looked up and I flew up in that direction. This tunnel was much better lit, but for some reason it still scared me quite a bit, and I wound up waking myself up by yelling.

Hurricane Irene

[Recently in waking life there has been a big hurricane in the news named Irene. It has come up through Florida and Georgia and North Carolina.]

In my dream, the hurricane had continued to make it's way up through Virginia, although, instead of coming from the south, it was coming from across the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east. I was outside, and it was terribly windy and such out, but not much rain on this side of the mountains.

As I looked across to the mountains, I saw that it had rained so much over there that evidently it had filled up the valley over there with water, and the wind was blowing so hard that it was making it churn around like an ocean. Waves were beating on the other side of the mountains, and they were jumping up over the tops of the mountains and splashing down just on the other side of the big barn across the road from our house.

I went inside for a bit while the storm wore itself out, and then soon after it had gotten sunny out. Aunt Irene, Mom, and I think Eric and Matthew (brothers), and I all went on a hike up this path on the mountains that led into one of the lower crossovers of the mountains. When we got to the top, we looked around on the other side, and all we saw was water. It was as high as the mountain we were on.

We continued on the pathway, which started down the other side, and we soon realized (because the water was up to our waists) that the path went too far into the water, and we didn't want to drown, so we turned around to come back. On our way back, there were these little brown and green lizards that were hanging from various leaves of plants, and Aunt Irene started talking about them, saying that she used to see them all the time when she was a kid. She said that they always had to be careful of getting too close to them because they'd jump out and clamp onto you like they were doing to the leaves. She also said that they weren't so bad and you didn't have to worry about them very much after they dried up and became crispy.

Angel House Cafe and Picking Up Stuff I forgot

[I never got around to fully writing this one out, obviously]

-Mike and Robin (from Papa John's in Savannah) starting up the Angel House Cafe, and having steaks and things like that.
-Going to apartment/house that I lived in last in Savannah, finding that no one had moved in, and stuff I had left behind was still there
-things like the red sofa and chair, lots of trash and boxes, and a bird bath that worked as a fountain.
-I somehow get in touch with Mike and tell him I'm hungry and want pizza. He shows up with Domino's regular crust cut Chicago style (circle pizza cut into squares, like they do with the thin crust at Papa John's).
-He also brings his truck so we can pack up the stuff I hadn't taken with me.
-Bird bath coming apart and expecting to smell like cat pee, but it had worn off.
